A friendly elderly woman (Janice) is looking for a Sharer for her home in Longside, by Peterhead, to give a mix of 10 hours of help and company each week in exchange for low-cost accommodation in her house.

This cosy cottage offers a private double bedroom with shared kitchen/dining room, sitting room, large bathroom, garage, easily maintained gardens back and front. Facilities in Janice’s home include wifi, a television, a washing machine, and free parking. The property is located in a quiet area in the countryside and is quite isolated, so most likely someone who has a car. The village has a convenience store, coffee house, beauticians, tennis club, and golf club with a café. Peterhead, which is only an 11-minute drive away, has supermarkets, a sports centre, doctors, a cinema, the Maritime Heritage Centre, Peterhead Lido beach, Buchan Ness Lighthouse, and the Peterhead Golf Club. There is also a Leisure & Community Centre with a pool and sports hall, and local businesses like the Brew Toon brewer. It is also only a 25-minute drive to Aberdeen Airport.

Janice is a kind and friendly older woman who likes to paint and is mainly looking for friendly companionship and the reassurance of an overnight presence in the home. She is looking for someone with a car who can drive her to the occasional hospital appointment. She would also like someone who can sometimes share meals. Janice has 5 cats, so the sharer must be okay with living with pets.

We are looking for someone who will be a friendly presence, happy to have a good chat, have a positive outlook, be clean, tidy and organised. They would not be expected to be at home all day, so could be studying or at work, but a home or hybrid worker would also be welcome.
